Distracted Driving presentations are now available for club and division meetings, or presentation in the community.

The Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center's Distracted Driving program focuses on saving the lives of teens and other drivers by highlighting the dangers of distracted driving. The foundation has supported both the work of health educators at Cohen Children's Medical Center and the KPTC Service Leadership Committee through the purchase of three distracted driving simulators for the hospital and one for th committee. Each group can provide workshops separately or combined for larger gatherings.

Through hands-on/minds-on activities led by Key Club and Circle K members, audiences are presented with topics highlighting the dangers of distracted driving. These include the most common distractions: the increased risks involved in distracted driving and the consequences of distracted driving including texting and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

To schedule a demonstration, contact: Foundation President Joseph Corace, (347) 235-0464 or by e-mail to joecorace@aol.com.
