Kiwanis Clubs that have donated Trauma Kits:

Nearly 18 years ago, a group of concerned citizen joined together as" Friends of Kiwanis Pediatric Center."  Their sole purpose was to raise funds with which to purchase Pediatric Trauma Kits and donate them to area EMS divisions of local fire departments.

The ingredients of these kits are child sized and geared for children from infancy to 18 years of age. Since its inceptions, over 250 kits have been donated'. As you read the list that follows, if your community is not there, call your local Kiwanis Club or Fire Department. Find out why you are not include in this free, and voluntary program.

 

(Early in the summer of 2008,  a Trauma Kit was presented to the Greenport Fire Department's EMS in the names of Pearl & George Treiber. Pearl was an early member of the Friends and George was a long time Kiwanian and Foundation Board Member. Their Grandson and Great-grandson were present for the presentation as were Jim Hillis, an active Kiwanian in the area and Eleanor Lalena, President of the Friends, as presenters.)
